Maricell Srl (Longarone, Italy) has more than 40 years of experienced supplying structural expanded core materials, processed into polyvinyl chloride (PVC) blocks and sheets, for renewable energy (especially wind power), wind, transportation, aerospace and sustainable mobility sectors, particularly where low weight (EVs) is essential. It presents three innovative products at its own branded booth.

In addition to classic PVC foam products — MYcell M, MYcell H and MYcell F — that distinguish Maricell’s quality over the years, the company presents:

MYcell-Y is characterized by its mechanical properties, low water and resin absorption, thermos-formability, insulation properties and workability. It is compatible with most popular resins used in composite structures, including epoxy, polyester and vinyl ester. MYcell-Y can be used as an insulation material for liqueified natural gas (LNG), building or composite materials for marine, aeronautical, automotive, wind energy and sport equipment sectors, as well as for various industrial sectors.

PVC core products.

MYcell-P, is said to be the best choice to meet subsea requirements due to its buoyancy and low water absorption long-term. MYcell-P is well-suited to applications requiring high compression strength and hydraulic crash point.

MYcell-T is characterized by its mechanical properties, workability, mildew resistance and low maintenance. Applications that require a high strength-to-weight ratio will benefit from this option, according to Maricell. Due to its low water absorption and mildew resistance, it is suitable for high-humidity settings.

With these three products, Maricell also relaunches its focus on sustainability. The eco-variant of MYcell ecoBlue, for example, takes carbon footprint reduction one step further by incorporating raw materials derived from agricultural and industrial waste, all produced using energy from renewable sources.

Attendees can also visit Maricell’s booth to learn about the company’s new goals and objectives.
